Being born into a family of artists can obviously influence one’s future life. Yann C was immersed in this special atmosphere from a very young age, which made him attentive to all forms of artistic expression. Eager for knowledge, he studied various cutting-edge technologies, engineering, and computer science, working extensively in France and abroad, exploring all the technical possibilities he could apply to art.
In 2007, he founded a sculpture studio, combining the worlds of art and technology, working for French and international artists. But Yann C has always created alongside his professional activity, and the enthusiasm of the many artists who saw his creations gave him the courage to share them.
Equally adept at creating both bronze and resin sculptures, he became interested in coloring his sculpted resins using a particular technique. His portraits of famous figures such as Van Gogh, Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, and a host of iconic animals such as tigers, lions, cheetahs, elephants, whales, rhinos, and cats have made this painting-sculpture approach successful and opened new horizons in his work. The material effects and the play of light and shadow give each piece a visual presence that evolves according to the position of the viewer and the light that falls on it.
It is worth noting that what Yann C presents today is only a tiny fraction of his projects, and the future will undoubtedly bring new and striking discoveries.
